Agoda targets Indonesian tourists with SG60 travel campaign
SINGAPORE (IndoTelko) As Singapore marks its 60th year of independence, digital travel platform Agoda has launched the SG60 Celebration Campaign, aiming to attract tourists from key Asian markets—especially Indonesia, which ranks among the top countries showing rising interest in visiting the city-state.

Running from 1 to 15 August 2025, the campaign offers up to 20% discounts on travel bookings, both inbound to Singapore and outbound from the city, in collaboration with major hospitality and airline partners. Participating brands include Resorts World Sentosa, Furama Hotels International, Singapore Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, and Firefly.

According to Agoda’s search data from April to June 2025, Indonesia is one of the top five origin markets searching for travel to Singapore, alongside Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and South Korea. Notably, Thailand recorded the highest year-on-year growth at 10%, but interest from Indonesian travelers remains consistently strong—an encouraging sign as Singapore looks to boost regional tourism.

“As Agoda celebrates 20 years in Singapore, the SG60 Celebration Campaign is a special celebration for us,” said Andrew Smith, Senior Vice President of Supply at Agoda. “Through our close collaboration with Singapore’s tourism authority in past years, we are using innovative, data-driven campaigns to showcase the city’s unique appeal to global travelers during the nation’s 60th year of independence.”

The campaign coincides with Singapore’s diamond jubilee, a nationwide year-long celebration. With its blend of cultural diversity, globally recognized culinary scene, and premium shopping experiences, Singapore continues to draw high interest from regional travelers—especially from Indonesia, whose citizens frequently rank among the top visitors to the country.

Hotels participating in the SG60 initiative are optimistic about the tourism rebound and the potential to welcome more Indonesian guests.
“Agoda helps us attract customers from the region and beyond thanks to its wide reach and customer base,” said Mathew Chan, Regional Director of Revenue at Furama Hotels International. “This collaboration allows us to connect with both new and returning guests from around the world. We look forward to sharing the warmth of our hospitality and creating memorable experiences for every traveler who walks through our doors.”

The campaign also comes at a time when Singaporeans themselves are exploring destinations abroad. Agoda reports that in 2025, Singaporean travel searches span over 100 countries, with strong demand for China, Malaysia, Japan, and Indonesia as outbound destinations.
