SINGAPORE (IndoTelko) — UK-based Internet of Things (IoT) solutions provider Wireless Logic has completed the acquisition of Zipit Wireless, a US company specializing in multi-carrier IoT connectivity and subscription billing solutions. The deal marks Wireless Logic’s first acquisition of a US-headquartered firm and expands its footprint in the North American market.
Headquartered in South Carolina, Zipit serves sectors including agriculture, security and surveillance, and digital signage. The company is recognized for its flexible white-label billing platform, strong customer support, and regional market expertise. Zipit also operates Canadian subsidiary Mtrex Networks, which focuses on providing global connectivity to the point-of-sale (PoS) sector.
Zipit has long-standing partnerships with major carriers such as Verizon, AT&T, and Rogers, enabling global connectivity via NB-IoT, LTE-M, and 5G technologies. Its automated billing platform allows for flexible subscription models, helping businesses manage service packages and costs more effectively.
“Joining Wireless Logic is a major milestone and the natural next step in our growth,” said Frank Greer, CEO of Zipit Wireless, on Wednesday (Aug 6). “Access to a global footprint and a broader service portfolio will allow us to offer more choice, coverage, and capability—while maintaining the hands-on support our customers rely on.”
Wireless Logic co-founder and CEO Oliver Tucker said the acquisition would strengthen the company’s North American position. “Zipit’s deep understanding of the market and expertise in complex commercial models make it a valuable addition to the group,” he said.
The deal follows a series of strategic acquisitions by Wireless Logic, including Arqia, Webbing, and Blue Wireless, as part of its ongoing global expansion and innovation strategy in the IoT sector.(es)
